Overspeeding equals Overspending

We decided to test drive our new Toyota Vios and have it blessed in Our Lady of Manaoag in Urdaneta. We used SCTEX because it is the most convenient route when going North. After 8 days, My husband went to LTO East Avenue to get his license back, and because it is his 2nd offense for over speeding ( 1st was 10 years ago-- he loves drag racing BTW )  he know that he will pay 3,000 and his license will be subject to suspension for 90 days.


Miguel, my husband wanted to test how fast his new toy is and maintained a speed of 176kph. Until of course we were stopped by their patrol and told us that the speed limit at SCTEX is 100kph. Haha.
The Lady officer confiscated mig's license and told him that he need to get it from LTO east avenue in Quezon city after 3 working days. She even told us that there is no seminar for overspeeding but you need to pay for a hefty price of Php2,000.00 . Then we left.


May 25, 2015, Monday

He arrived at 9:30am and he talked to the LTO officer to assist him and bribe him. (BAD citizen). He got his license at 10:30am, only an hour of waiting.
He got his license and the LTO officer didn't record his 2nd offense so there is no suspension. His total payment is as follows:


Php 2,077.00- penalty
Php 1,500.00- LTO officer
Php 400.00 - fixer

TOTAL= 3,977.00

Php 2,000 (1st Offense)
Php 3,000 (2nd Offense)
Php 10,000 (Subsequent Offense)

BTW, below is the penalty of LTO for over speeding (reckless driving).

MORNING-AFTER-PILL

The morning-after pill is a type of emergency birth control (contraception). The purpose of emergency contraception is to prevent pregnancy after a woman has had unprotected sex or after her birth control method has failed. (http://www.mayoclinic.org) 

My husband and I had unprotected sex so what I did was look for an emergency contraceptive. In the philippines, the most common  morning-after-pill is NORDETTE, but since it is out of stock in Mercury drugstore and Watson’s I bought LADY TRUST PILLS instead since it also have 150mcg of Levonorgestrel.

I bought LADY pills in Generics Pharmacy at 45PHP (1USD).

The content is 30mcg Ethinyl Estradiol and 150mcg Levenorgestrel. I followed the dose I found in this site.  ( http://en.hesperian.org/hhg/Where_Women_Have_No_Doctor:Emergency_family_planning )

Here is the dose for LADY.

1st dose: Take 4 tablets within 5 days after unprotected sex.

2nd dose: Take another 4 tablets 12 hours after the 1st dose.

REMEMBER:

1.) You should take the brown pills only because the white pill contains no hormone.

2.) Make sure you are not pregnant when taking the morning-after-pill.

3.) Taking the morning-after-pill is just for emergency contraception and does not protect you from HIV/AIDS. Make sure you check with your OB Gyne.
